Police hunting knife attacker
A KNIFE attacker is being hunted by police after a teenager was stabbed in Radcliffe.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Bridgefield Street at around 5.10pm on Monday, and an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police told the M.E.N. his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
GMP have launched an investigation and a cordon was put up on Bridgefield Street in the aftermath. Residents in the area described a large police presence in the area last night.
In a statement, a GMP spokesman said: “Police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed on Bridgefield Street in Radcliffe.
“Officers attended and a cordon has been put in place on Bridgefield Street. An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. An investigation has been launched and no arrests have been made.”
