Wags steal the spotlight on United’s Red carpet
MANCHESTER United players and their glam partners walked the red carpet in their finery for the club’s annual Unicef Gala Dinner.
But the winner of the most style points was Countdown host and massive Reds fan Rachel Riley, in a stunning red split-to-the-thigh gown.
Daley Blind’s Dutch model girlfriend Candy-Rae Fleur also wowed onlookers in a daring split gown alongside her man, who looked dapper in his black tie.
Centre-back Chris Smalling’s wife Sam turned heads in a coral-coloured silky wrap dress with flame red lipstick.
And goalkeeper Sergio Romero was beaming as he placed a hand on his wife Eliano Guercio’s stomach as she showed off her visible bump in a lace gown teamed with sparkly heels.
Left-back Luke Shaw and his girlfriend Anouska Santos also ramped up the glamour in classic LBD and suit.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba made quite the duo with United fan Stormzy. Pogba has starred in music videos with his rapper pal.
Attended by Reds manager Jose Mourinho, the glitzy event raised money for Unicef to help vulnerable children in Thailand with limited or no access to education.
The United for Unicef partnership is the longest running of its kind between a football club and a global children’s organisation, and over the last 18 years it has raised over £4m, helping to change the lives of millions of children worldwide.
