DiSGRACEd BRUNO’S CORRiE RiSE TO FAmE
HE is better known as Todd Grimshaw, Coronation Street’s first openly gay character who has been involved in some of the most explosive storylines seen on the famous cobbles.
But after actor Bruno Langley yesterday admitted in court to sexually assaulting two women in a Manchester club, his career lies in tatters.
Langley had two major spells in Wetherfield, with his character appearing in major storylines between 2001-4 and then making a comeback four years ago.
Born in Somerset to Australian parents, Langley grew up in Buxton before moving to the Greater Manchester area where he trained at the North Cheshire Theatre School in Heaton Moor. But it was on his return to Corrie in 2013 as Todd that saw him rise to national fame.
Langley was said have been in an eight-year relationship with Victoria Roscoe. The couple have a ten-year-old son. Although the pair split, they are said to share the upbringing of their son.
During an appearance on Loose Women last year, Langley confirmed he was ‘single’ and claimed he was too shy to speak to women. He told the panel: “There’s been a few times when I’ve seen a really nice girl and I’ve not gone up to them and not said anything, and I’ve always regretted it.
“These days, if I ever see anyone, I always go up and try to be a gentleman.”
