Ryan and me? We were just having brunch!

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Gemma Atkinson admits she only has to be SEEN alongside a chap for rumours to start that they’re having a relationship. But the actress and radio star took swift action to close down any possible rumours restarting about her and Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs after the two were spotted together on Thursday.
It appears that Ryan and Gemma were photographed together by the paparazzi as they headed in to Ryan’s George’s Restaurant in Worsley.
However, Gemma took to her Instagram to INSIST all was not what it seems.
She posted a photo to show she was NOT alone with Ryan - and that they were actually out with mates.
She captioned it with the message: “To the Pap who’s just taken sneaky pictures of me & Ryan. Before you say “we were alone and we’re dating” There’s a group of us having a New Years brunch at his restaurant because we are all MATES and have been for 14 years !!!! ”
Gemma and Ryan had previously both laughed off the persistent rumours that they are more than friends when Ryan popped in to Key 103’s radio studios in Manchester for a chat on the breakfast show Gemma co-hosts with Mike Toolan and Matt Haslam.
When Mike asked what Ryan thought about the persistent rumours linking him to Strictly Come Dancing star Gemma he said: “Me and Gemma have been friends for a long time,” before joking: “And you know, as if!”
It had Gemma, Matt and Mike in stitches, and Gemma said: “Oh cheers!”
Former Emmerdale star Gemma had also spoken out about the rumours explaining that she and Giggs had been pals for over ten years - nothing more.
She added on Thursday morning: “Anyone I hang about with of the opposite sex people say I’m going out with.
“Whenever we all go out together as friends people say we’re in a relationship.”
