Danny splashes cash for big bash
PREMIER League ace Danny Simpson splashed the cash as he took over the Great John Street hotel for his birthday. The Leicester City defender from Eccles booked out all 30 rooms for his fun-filled celebrations as he turned 31 in style.
Danny was joined by 300 guests for exclusive use of the luxury hotel - and that meant booking all rooms for family and friends.
And he wasn’t just celebrating his birthday this year, he was celebrating his new online clothing label Made Clo.
The party had a red and black theme, and we’re told it was a very glamorous affair. Birthday boy Danny wore a red hooded top with black lettering from his own label.
Entertainment was provided on the night by professional dancers, fire eaters and celebrity DJs including Russke and Colin Francis.
The footballer treated guests to a private performance from Lond rap duo Krept and Konan, and he was presented with a super-cute birthday cake with a miniature figure on top wearing one of the hoodies from his clothing label.
X Factor contestant Brad Howard, who starred on the hit singing show last year and is celebrating his debut single Takes Two going to number three on iTunes R&B chart, sang Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday to Danny.
The party started at 9pm on the hotel’s rooftop lounge and the outdoor terrace. Then at 11pm the Oyster Bar opened to guests and DJ Russke and Francis performed on the Mezzanine area.
And we hear that the party was in full swing with guests partying and dancing until 4am.
Last year Danny booked out the 60-room Hotel Gotham for family, friends and star pals to toast his 30th - and he had a Great Gatsby style bash to celebrate.
