Over the past few months, we had a storm and we were in need of a rainbow Jessica Cunningham

APPRENTICE star Jessica Cunningham proudly cradles her growing baby bump – a week after revealing her pregnancy joy following a heartbreaking 2017.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Jessica revealed she is expecting a baby in an emotional social media post last week, two months after suffering a devastating miscarriage.

And Jessica, mum to three daughters, was beaming with joy as she headed to the launch of the Protein Bakery, in Manchester, supporting mum-of-four Laura Jackson’s new business.

Jessica, 30, headed to the launch at Artisan bar on Spinningfields with her boyfriend Alex Daw fresh from confirming their baby news on New Year’s Day.

Her growing baby bump was visible as she wore a pretty figurehugging black dress for the event on Wednesday evening.

In a soul-bearing post on her mummy blog, Mothers Of Maniacs, Jessica had revealed that her ‘little rainbow baby’ was on the way.

She told her followers how she ‘felt instantly sick and panicky about having another miscarriage.’

She said: “That’s the thing with getting pregnant after a miscarriage.

“You are stopped from allowing yourself to fully enjoy those moments of excitement.

“In fact, it’s a bloody emotional rollercoaster of constant worry of losing the baby and excitement of having a baby.”

Jessica explained how emotional she felt when she heard the description of a ‘rainbow baby’ – a term for babies born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss after losing her baby in November.

Jessica said: “Over the past few months, it is safe to say we have had a storm and we were in need of a rainbow.

“It made me stop and believe that this was our rainbow. It made me question: ‘Did I have to lose that baby prior to help me to feel that a colourful and bright future is emerging from our recent darkness?’ “Maybe. I am a firm believer in the Power of the Universe and at that moment it dawned on me that everything just needs time to make sense, we just need to trust in our journey and know that everything will work out. “This was confirmed to me even more so when we found out that the due date is on Alex’s birthday.” Jessica is already a mum to three daughters aged six, four and three with her ex-partner, Alistair Eccles. The whole family had to come to terms with tragedy last year when Alistair was found dead at his home in Burnley in August, aged 35. Jessica shared the heartbreaking letter she wrote to her daughters about their dad’s death on her parenting website and was praised by fans on Twitter for raising awareness of mental health issues by sharing the powerful message on World Mental Health Day.
