Anthologist coming to city centre

THE owners of Spinningfields bar and restaurant The Refinery have revealed more about their plans for their second Manchester site.

Drake & Morgan will open The Anthologist, another all-day drinking and dining spot, inside the One St Peter’s Square development this summer.

The 185-seater venue will include a large statement bar and distinctive dining and lounge areas furnished with banquettes and booths.

Open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, the restaurant will serve a menu featuring seasonal dishes and small plates, as well as sharing boards, sandwiches, flatbreads and burgers.

Behind the bar there’ll be an extensive wine list, sitting alongside premium spirits, craft beers and ciders and an evolving cocktail and mocktail list featuring contemporary and classic creations made with seasonal berries, herbs, vegetables and flowers.

The Anthologist will be the London bar group’s 23rd site in the UK and will occupy a 6,000 unit inside the One St Peter’s Square building, which forms part of a £185m redevelopment of the area.
