Ammies out to maintain top spot against Harriers

- NON-LEAGUE By SHELDAN KEAY

SALFORD CITY will try to extend their lead at the top of the National League North table when they make the trip to Kidderminster Harriers.

The Ammies are three points clear at the top, but second-placed Harrogate have a game in hand. Today’s opponents Kidderminster are in fifth place, hoping to secure a play-off spot.

Salford will hope to replicate the performance they put in against Kidderminster in the reverse fixture earlier this season, when they picked up a 3-0 win back in August.

STOCKPORT COUNTY could move back into the play-off places when Leamington visit Edgeley Park.

The Hatters are in eighth place after two straight wins, two points outside the play-offs, although the majority of teams above them do have games in hand.

FC UNITED will attempt to put more breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone against Bradford Park Avenue.

Tom Greaves’ side have moved up to 15th position after winning their last game.

Strugglers CURZON ASHTON will try to leapfrog today’s opponents Tamworth when they meet at the Tameside Stadium.

Two straight defeats means only goal difference separates Curzon from the drop zone, while Tamworth are two points and two places above them in 17th. A defeat for Curzon could see them drop into the relegation places.
