Gemma looking loved up with Strictly’s Gorka
STRICTLY couple Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Márquez stepped out in Manchester for a Key 103 charity night – ahead of Gemma taking the radio station into its new era.
Radio station bosses announced last week that Key will be changing its name to Hits Radio and will go national from June 4.
And former Emmerdale star Gemma will helm the new station’s breakfast show alongside former Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones and ex-Radio One breakfast host Dave Vitty, known as ‘Comedy Dave.’
But on Wednesday night Gemma was enjoying the japes with her current breakfast cohosts, Mike Toolan and Matt Haslam, as they hosted the special Key 103 night out with listeners at Zouk Tea Bar and Grill in the city centre to raise thousands for the station’s charity Cash for Kids.
Gemma, from Bury, was looking loved up with Spanish dancer Gorka as the couple headed along in matching striped trousers.
And they were looking so happy that their Strictly pal Diane Buswell couldn’t help but start talking about babies...
Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Diane, who is dating Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan, admired Gemma’s photo of the happy couple together on her Instagram.
And she was full of praise when she messaged them to speculate what their children might look like.
She said: “Your kids eyes are going to be smoking.”
Ahead of the meal Gemma Instagrammed: “Off to the @key103manchester listeners meal looking forward to meeting you all and having a top night for our Cash For Kids Charity.” Commenting on the photo one fan said: “This is just the best pic.
“How happy do you both look. Love it.”
And Michelle Rawlinson wrote: “Awww you both look so happy”
Gemma recently enjoyed a cruise with hunky Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka, and she returned to the huge news that Manchester station Key 103 is to go national as Hits Radio as part of a multi-million pound rebrand by owners Bauer.
But she is certainly looking to be enjoying her final few weeks alongside her pals Mike and Matt - with Mike posting a photo of the team saying: “Brilliant fundraising night with our good listeners”.
Mike will move to the midmorning slot to present his own solo show on Hits Radio, after 14 years presenting breakfast at Key 103.
