Blood shortage fears
PEOPLE with rare blood types are being asked urgently to give blood.
The NHS Blood and Transplant team are in desperate need of O negative and B negative donors in Manchester.
If they don’t collect enough over the next fortnight, stocks could drop to below two days. Stocks should be at least six days. Both the Manchester Blood Centre on Plymouth Grove and Norfolk House on Brown Street in the city centre have appointments available, and people with those two blood types are asked to book a slot. For more information call 0300 123 23 23 or visit www. blood.co.uk.
