Pogba hits back at Nev – and denies Mourinho rift
PAUL Pogba has hit back at Gary Neville’s criticism - and insisted he has no problem with Jose Mourinho.
The United midfielder’s future is the subject of scrutiny after being dropped by the Reds boss in the second half of the season.
He has added to the uncertainty surrounding his position at Old Trafford by refusing to rule out the possibility of a move in a recent interview with French TV.
Neville criticised him for dying his hair blue ahead of April’s derby.
Pogba answered back in the perfect fashion, scoring two goals in United’s 3-2 win.
Discussing Neville’s comments, the French international said: “I don’t really listen.
“Football is not about the appearance of the player. It’s all about the pitch. I respect everyone’s opinion.
“If he doesn’t like my hair, he doesn’t have to look at it. That’s it!”
It’s understood United do not want to sell Pogba this summer, despite Mourinho looking to bring in a second midfield signing after the £52m deal for Brazilian international Fred is completed.
But the relationship between the pair will continue to be scrutinised by fans and media. Pogba said: “I would just say, because they’re not inside, they see what they see.
“They see us doing the talking, they straight away think it’s a problem. But if people think there’s a problem, what does that mean? It means maybe they want me to play.”
