Celebs gather at very special house party...
CITY centre salon House of Evelyn celebrated it’s first birthday in carnival style with a host of celeb guests. The swanky hair and beauty hotspot at Spring Gardens was the toast of the town with a VIP party joined by Coronation Street favourites Shayne Ward, Sair Khan, Tisha Merry and Victoria Ekanoye, Hollyoaks stars Kieron Richardson and Jessica Ellis, singer Angie Brown and Manchester fashionista Jsky.
Celebrations kicked off at the salon before guests danced along the street to continue the party at nearby Hotel Gotham joined by showgirls dressed in gold to match the opulent salon, living statues and stilt walkers.
The celebrations then continued into the night at the hotel’s Club Brass.
Clayton actor Shayne, who left the famous cobbles with a heartbreaking storyline about the suicide of his popular character Aidan Connor in May, embraced the Manchester sunshine in a shortsleeved white shirt and black shorts, with a trilby hat.
Tisha, who played waitress Steph Britton in the ITV1 soap, looked superstylish in a striped midi dress and silver sandals.
And Sair looked chic as she smiled for the cameras in a spotted halterneck jumpsuit.
Co-star Victoria, who plays Angie Appleton, looked stunning in an orange wrap dress. And the actress, who appeared on stage in The Lion King before Corrie, delighted guests when she performed at the party and showcased her stunning voice.
Tweeting her congratulations to the salon Victoria, who’s just finished filming the fourth series of The Royals with Liz Hurley, said: “Happy 1st Birthday to the amazing team at @hseofevelyn.”
House of Evelyn was officially opened last summer by glam actress and fashion designer Sadie Frost, who was raised in Ashton.
Since its launch House of Evelyn has attracted a number of celebrity clients, including Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan. Beauty therapist Emilie Cunliffe, the daughter of Corrie star Kym Marsh, headed to the capital to do Lindsay’s hair and makeup with hair stylist Scott Meadows for London Fashion Week.
