Teenager arrested in murder investigation

A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Collyhurst.

Frank Lennon was found dead at his home in Vauxhall Court, Hamerton Road, on Sunday, July 22.

A post mortem examination found the 53-year-old suffered unexplained injuries.

Following the results Greater Manchester Police launched a murder investigation.

An 18-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder in the Middleton area.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Det Chf Insp Colin Larkin of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “My thoughts are with Frank’s family at this difficult time, and we are working hard to get the answers his family deserve. Although we have made an arrest, this is very much an ongoing investigation and I would ask anyone who has any information, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem, to please get in touch with police.”
