MANCHESTER’S bees have caused quite buzz since the project launched - dozens of M.E.N readers have been sharing pictures on Instagram of the statues they have spotted.

The Bee in the City art trail consisting of 101 bee sculptures was unveiled to the public on Monday.

Each of the statues, placed in various locations across Greater Manchester come with their own unique design created by local artists, while schoolchildren have designed several of the mini-bee sculptures.

At the end of the project the bees will be sold at an auction in October, with all of the funds being donated to The Lord Mayor’s We Love MCR Charity. Bee in the City will run until September 23.

Here are some of the most striking images shared by readers with the M.E.N Instagram page.
