Hunt for crash wit­nesses

PO­LICE are search­ing for three driv­ers who could hold key in­for­ma­tion fol­low­ing a crash which left a man fight­ing for his life.

Emer­gency ser­vices were called to Dial­stone Lane in Stock­port af­ter a blue Nis­san 300ZX smashed into three parked cars last Satur­day at 11.25pm.

A man in his 20s was left with ‘life-threat­en­ing’ in­juries, po­lice said. He re­mains in hospi­tal.

De­tec­tives say three other ve­hi­cles – two ‘small to medi­um­sized’ cars and a ‘light coloured’ minibus – were driv­ing in the di­rec­tion of the col­li­sion at the time.

Po­lice be­lieve the driv­ers of those ve­hi­cle may have seen what hap­pened and are ap­peal­ing for them to come for­ward.

Pc Martin Davies, of GMP’s Se­ri­ous Col­li­sion In­ves­ti­ga­tion Unit said: “It’s cru­cial to our in­ves­ti­ga­tion that we speak with the driv­ers of the three ve­hi­cles as we’re still piec­ing to­gether the mo­ments lead­ing up to and im­me­di­ately af­ter the col­li­sion.

“They may hold vi­tal in­for­ma­tion that could as­sist our in­quiries so I would urge them to get in touch.”
