Hunt for rob­ber who ter­ri­fied staff

PO­LICE have re­leased an im­age of a man they want to speak to fol­low­ing an armed bank rob­bery in Ir­lam.

A man walked up to the cashier desks at Lloyds TSB, on Moor­field Pa­rade and left a threat­en­ing note to staff men­tion­ing a weapon.

He left with cash and ran back to where he left his blue Vaux­hall Zafira parked around the cor­ner on Moor­field Close and drove off in the di­rec­tion of Cut­nook Lane.

Greater Manch­ester Po­lice have launched an in­ves­ti­ga­tion fol­low­ing the rob­bery on Fri­day, Septem­ber 7, at around 2.25pm.

De­tec­tives have re­leased a CCTV im­age of the man, above, they wish to speak to as part of the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Det Cons Steve Pow­ell, of GMP’s Sal­ford bor­ough, said: “The staff were left ter­ri­fied by the ac­tions of this rob­ber and we need to pub­lic’s help to find the man re­spon­si­ble. We’re keen to speak to the man pic­tured.”
