Hunt for robber who terrified staff
POLICE have released an image of a man they want to speak to following an armed bank robbery in Irlam.
A man walked up to the cashier desks at Lloyds TSB, on Moorfield Parade and left a threatening note to staff mentioning a weapon.
He left with cash and ran back to where he left his blue Vauxhall Zafira parked around the corner on Moorfield Close and drove off in the direction of Cutnook Lane.
Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation following the robbery on Friday, September 7, at around 2.25pm.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of the man, above, they wish to speak to as part of the investigation.
Det Cons Steve Powell, of GMP’s Salford borough, said: “The staff were left terrified by the actions of this robber and we need to public’s help to find the man responsible. We’re keen to speak to the man pictured.”
