Blues come to boil as Dinho meets old friends in Ukraine

-

CITY captain David Silva has warned rivals that the Blues are getting better with every game as they moved to the top of Group F.

“We could have scored a lot of goals, but we are happy with the three points and now we look forward to the next game,” the Spaniard said.

“The Champions League is difficult and this is a tough place to come, but we did really well and had a lot of chances.

“I think we are playing better in every game. We have to keep improving a little bit more but we are in a good way. If we play like this we will get more points.”

Fernandinho was returning to the club where he played for nine years before joining City in 2013.

“Of course, naturally, when you come here you see so many faces you know, so many friends I left here, so I’m glad to come back and, of course, to win that game,” he said.

“It was a very important win for us and we deserved to win because from the beginning we were trying to score the goals and created so many chances.

“They have a lot of good players, quality players, attacking players who make the game so hard but I think we controlled it well, especially the counter-attacks because they have fast players as well.”

The other game in City’s group finished in a 3-3 draw as Joelinton struck an injury-time equaliser for Hoffenheim against Lyon.
