A STRETCHED police force has used social media to show how busy they are.

Robbery in Altrincham – Crime investigation now on-going. vulnerable people safe. The force listed a snap-shot of some of the serious incidents they attended, including tragic reports of a suicidal child, on its Facebook page.

There were 28 incidents listed in the post, but some of the more serious call-outs were left out ‘due to sensitivity,’ police said.

The list of incidents attended is below:

Burglary – Offender arrested and now in custody awaiting interview and process.

RTC – Passing patrols come across RTC. Damage only and both parties exchange insurance details.

Timperley – Suspicious female seen loitering in the area. Patrols attend, no trace of female.

Sale – Collapsed female in the street. Ambulance attend prior to police and locate female.

Distressed and confused elderly male calls police. Ambulance requested to attend.

Suicidal person – Vulnerable person sent text making threats of suicide. Patrols attend, force entry to front door and find person asleep inside ignoring the door, but safe. Referral made to mental health team.

Sale – Report of offender with a knife and person stabbed. Patrols rushed to the scene to establish it was a hoax.

Missing patient from hospital. Female located safe and well with family.

Male kicking off at address. Male arrested and removed from the location.

Dunham – Call to reports of distressed person sat in the rain crying. Patrols attended promptly but unable to locate any persons. Altrincham – shoplifter. Crime investigation recorded.Male kicking at a door. Patrols attended immediately and establish ongoing dispute which will be passed to our neighbourhood team and local housing for long term intervention.Concern for welfare – Officers unable to locate person so now commenced missing person investigation. Altrincham – burglary. Crime investigation now on-going.Youths launching fireworks at people. While patrols were on route, CCTV report male within group brandishing a sword. Officers chase subjects and one offender detained and four persons searched. Fireworks recovered and we establish sword was actually a metallic car part.Altrincham – Youths causing annoyance patrols attend and detain persons responsible.Suicidal person jumps into canal. Officers attend, pull female from canal and obtain medical support from paramedics.Abusive and threatening phone call from telephone box. Male came on line and made threats.Suicidal male found on motorway bridge by police. Male talked down from bridge and taken to hospital.
