Shakers duo up for awards

-

BURY boss Ryan Lowe and midfielder Jay O’Shea have been shortlisted for the manager and player of the month for November.

Lowe has led the Shakers up to fifth in the League Two table with an impressive run of results. Their attacking approach saw them net 14 goals and 10 points from four games last month.

He is up against Cheltenham’s Michael Duff, Dave Flitcroft of Mansfield Town and Paul Tisdale of MK Dons for the award.

Part of that good run was down to O’Shea who scored four goals and had two assists last month.

With two free-kicks, three of his goals came from outside the area. He is up against Carlisle midfielder Jamie Devitt, Dean Lewington of MK Dons and Colchester’s Sammie Szmodics.

OLDHAM Athletic’s Checkatrade Trophy last 32 clash with Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena has been rearranged for Tuesday, December 11, at 7pm.

The original game, which was due to be played on Wednesday night, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

All tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for the rearranged fixture.
