Delivery vans scuppered

-

IT is bad enough that the traffic is so bad in Manchester it takes us longer to do our deliveries

But now the council seem to want us also to waste our time by making us appeal bus gate tickets when we have to enter to the bus gate to make the delivery or a collection. We have had six tickets in the past year, all for collecting from the same Manchester customer.

Most of these have been cancelled but for some reason one was not.

We wrote asking for an explanation but never received a reply.

One of my vehicles was claimed because of one of the tickets which we thought was still under the appeal process appears not to be and we had to pay £400 to have the vehicle released.

When you are trying to make an honest living it’s heartbreaking. I don’t know whether to organise a protest drive through Manchester with other transport companies to highlight the delays, road closures and stupid bus-gates or throw in the towel.
