Caravan bursts into flames in car park

FIREFIGHTE­RS were called to a car park after a caravan went up in flames.

The fire was reported at a car park on Castle Street, Tyldesley, at around 10am on Friday.

Crews discovered a motor home was fully alight when they arrived to the scene.

Firefighte­rs from Bolton central fire station used hose reels to extinguish the flames.

There were no reports of any injuries and an investigat­ion into what caused the fire has been launched.

A spokeswoma­n for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 10.05am this morning to a fire in Tyldesley. Firefighte­rs wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and breaking-in equipment to extinguish the fire.”
