Driver caught doing 123mph ‘wanted kebab’
BIZARRE EXPLANATION OF MOTORIST WITH NO LICENCE OR INSURANCE
A MAN caught speeding at 123mph told officers that he was rushing because he wanted a kebab from Manchester.
The driver was stopped after being clocked on the M62 by traffic cops at almost double the national speed limit.
When questioned by officers, it emerged that he not only did not have insurance for the vehicle – but also did not have a driving licence. Sharing the bizarre incident, the Roads Policing Unit wrote on social media: “Car clocked at 123mph on the M62. Driver stated he was speeding as he wanted a kebab from Manchester... he forgot to mention that he didn’t have a licence or insurance, and the details he gave were his brother’s. Fingerprints don’t lie! #CourtSummons.”
