Gunman opens fire on house

DETECTIVES are hunting a gunman who opened fire on a house.

The attack on the Duchy estate is the latest of several shootings in Salford, although it’s not yet known if this is linked to other incidents. Police said the damage caused was consistent with a shotgun being used.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: “Shortly after 8pm on Friday 11 January 2019, police were called to a report of shots fired on Duchy Road in Salford.

“Officers attended and found damage to the window of a property consistent with a firearms discharge.

“Nobody was injured during the incident and officers will be in the area continuing with enquiries.”
