Pog: It was difficult with Mourinho
PAUL Pogba has admitted he found it ‘difficult’ to play under Jose Mourinho’s tactics and is enjoying having more freedom under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The World Cup winner’s performances have dramatically improved since Mourinho was sacked and Solskjaer came in as caretaker manager three weeks ago, and he produced another top-class performance against Tottenham.
Pogba provided a perfect pass for Marcus Rashford to score the match winner at Wembley and send United level on points with Arsenal in fifth. The 25-year-old was asked what had changed after his disappointing start to the league campaign. “I am enjoying playing football, it was really difficult with the system and tactics we used to play,” Pogba said. “I like to be more attacking, pressing and play high rather than defending. When I have to defend, I miss my lucidity, but when I play there (further forward) with the team I think my position that is when I feel the most comfortable.”
