City want Palace star, say reports

- By DANIEL MURPHY

CITY are one of many Premier League clubs reportedly in the chase for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to reports, City will step up interest in the 21-year-old defender in the summer but will face competition for his signature.

The Croydon-born full-back has been highly impressive in the Eagles’ back line ever since he made his debut midway through last season, catching the eyes of many Premier League clubs.

Chelsea and United, as well as City, are all reported to be interested in Wan-Bissaka as Palace prepare themselves for bids in the summer transfer window.

Elsewhere, another City youngster could depart the club, according to reports in Italy.

Sky Italia claim that Serie A side Atalanta have agreed a deal with the Blues to sign 19-year-old midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru.

Reports say all that’s left to decide in the deal is whether Dele-Bashiru joins this month or in the summer transfer window.

The England Under 16s international has appeared in the City first-team, making his debut against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup in 2017, coming on as a substitute as City progressed on penalties.

If Dele-Bashiru leaves, he’ll be following in the footsteps of fellow youngsters Jadon Sancho and Brahim Diaz.
