Dad beaten on his driveway

-

A BRAVE dad was attacked after he refused to let armed robbers into the home where his children were sleeping.

The man was hit in the face with a crowbar by four masked thugs outside his home in Bowdon, Trafford.

The attack came after they confronted him on his driveway off Green Walk and demanded he hand over his watch, which he wasn’t wearing, and let them into the house.

When he refused he was hit with the crowbar then punched to the ground, where the gang continued to punch and kick him. The attack, at 9.45pm on Thursday, March 7, only came to a halt when neighbours heard the man shouting for help and the gang ran off.

All four men are described as white, about 5ft 11in, of slim build and wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

They were seen to be carrying a crow bar and a hammer and one of the men also claimed he had a knife.

Police say the victim suffered facial injuries and was said to be ‘extremely shaken up’ by the attack.
