Police said they were called by the ambulance service over reports of a man that had ‘sustained injuries’.
The corner of Station Road and Dudley Road has remained cordoned off by police.
Officers appear to be carrying out investigations inside a first-floor flat while detectives were going door-to-door last night.
One witness said: “We came home last night and all the police were there.
“They were giving the man CPR before they took him off.
“It’s always kicking off there - we’ve been woken up by people screaming and fighting before.”
A police investigation continues.
