NOEL Gallagher is set to make a very rare, very intimate appearance at one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings next month.

The singer and songwriter will be the star of a fundraising in-conversation event at Salford Lads Club.

An Evening with Noel Gallagher will take place on Friday, October 25 to raise funds for the club.

Interviews with the ex-Oasis singer are always lively and often controversial - this one will be led by Salford University’s associate dean Kirsty Fairclough.

The audience will hear about Noel’s music career, spanning from his early days with Oasis right through to his current work with global sensations Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

With two Ivor Novello awards, a Q Icon award, and an NME Godlike Genius Award to his name, it’s an impressive timeline of almost three decades.

The venue, which will only hold 150 audience members on the day, is run by a team of volunteers who will be on hand to explain the club’s history.

Visitors will be able to take in the Wall of Names, an impressive laser-cut steel structure that bears the names of 22,500 members.

After the interview with Kirsty, the audience will have its chance to quiz Noel directly with a Q&A session.

Salford Lads Club merchandise, including limited-edition T-shirts, will be on display throughout the evening.

Tickets for the event will cost £30 and will go on sale at 10am this morning.

You can find tickets through Ticketweb.

Doors and bars on the night will be open from 7pm, with the event itself running between roughly 8pm and 10pm, including an interval.

All profits from the evening will go to Salford Lads Club and the events and activities run for its young members.
