ARON EISENBERG – 1969 TO 2019

SAD news this week as the Star Trek family lost Aron Eisenberg, pictured below, the actor who played Ferengi Nog in Deep Space Nine.

The 50-year-old was admitted to hospital on Saturday night, and died a short while later.

His death sparked an outpouring of tributes from fellow Star Trek actors and fans, with co-star Armin Shimerman describing him as ‘a man of conviction and enormous sensitivit­y, the best of humanity’.

A cause of death is not yet known but Aron had had two kidney transplant­s, the most recent in 2015.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA

ANOTHER day, another mooted streaming service.

As Disney revealed a slew of exclusive Marvel series for its new + service, Universal has decided to get in on the action.

Slated to be named ‘Peacock’ the first big hitter that’s being mooted for the channel is a Battlestar Galactica series, headed up by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail.

As tempting as it may be, it will take a lot to beat the last reboot, from writer Ronald D. Moore.
