Cath’s Strictly comeback
LINE-UP REVEALED FOR LIVE ARENA SHOWS
SHE cha cha cha-d her way off the series in a shock departure last month – but Strictly Come Dancing star Catherine Tyldesley will soon be donning her sequins again for the live tour.
The former Corrie star, from Walkden, is one of seven celebrities lined up for the live shows, which will waltz their way across the UK in the New Year.
Catherine said: “I’m so delighted to be continuing my Strictly journey on the live tour. I have absolutely fallen in love with dancing, so I can’t wait to get back on that dance floor and perform for the Strictly fans once more. Roll on January!”
BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell, who was booted off the show at the weekend, will also take part along with Sky Sports presenter Alex Scott, EastEnders actress Emma Barton, CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual, actor Kelvin Fletcher and social media sensation Saffron
Barker. Mike said: “I’m so thrilled to be asked to go on the Strictly tour. I’ve loved my journey on the TV show and have lost a stone-and-a-half in weight – that shows how good dancing is for you.
“I think I’ve shown that even a nondancing dad in his 50s can learn some moves and hopefully I can inspire people in venues across the country too.”
They’ll be joined by tour judges Shirley Ballass, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood – who also directs the tour – as well as new host and reigning Strictly champion Stacey Dooley.
The tour opens at Arena Birmingham on January 16 before calling at Aberdeen’s P&J Live Arena, Leeds’ First Direct Arena, the Manchester Arena, Dublin’s 3Arena, the SSE Arena in Belfast, the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena and London’s O2 Arena.
The Manchester shows take place on Saturday, January 25, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, and Sunday, January 26, at 1.30pm and 6.30pm. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
