Helen: Why I’ve had Botox at 29

-

HELEN Flanagan has opened up about having Botox at 29.

The Coronation Street star has had the treatment – used to temporarily paralyse muscles – in her face and armpits.

The mother-of-two, who turned 29 in August, has been having Botox treatment since her birthday after feeling ‘super tired’ and wanting to feel ‘more glamorous’ after the birth of her second child Delilah.

“I felt super tired from having Delilah and I wanted to feel fresher and more confident in myself,” she explained on Instagram. “I nursed Delilah for 13 months so had to wait until I finished for Botox and wanted to feel more glamorous and have myself back a bit.”

She received a mixed response to the post. “Horrendous. Age is beauty,” commented one follower.

“Sorry hate Botox,” said another, and someone else chipped in: “Not very good when you have 2 girls really is it?”

But others applauded her openness.

“You look amazing,” said one. “Really appreciate your honesty with your stories and posts,” said another. “Showing the good and the bad. Doing a fantastic job.”

The Corrie favourite, who plays Rosie Webster, says she was shocked by her appearance in pictures with Delilah and eldest daughter Matilda, four.

“I really feel with each child It’s definitely aged me,” said the actress. “I’m so happy with my Botox and if you’re like me and still want to look 23 then it’s a good idea.”

Helen, from Bury, has had Botox in her underarms after struggling with ‘excessive sweating’.

“I’m quite honest on social media and I’ve also spoke on social media how I struggled with excessive sweating with the hormonal changes after having Delilah,” she wrote.

“I lost a lot of weight after having Delilah, I had terrible sore acne (meaning I had to stop feeding) so I could take some medication and I would constantly feel self conscious about sweating and have to change my top during the day. I love my Botox underneath my arms it definitely makes me feel more confident especially in social situations.”
