Pizza top­ping with a vengeance

IT’S the cus­tard and moz­zarella mar­riage no­body asked for. Crazy Pe­dro’s has launched its Christ­mas special - a mince pie pizza. The fes­tive, er, treat is topped with crum­bled mince pies, whiskey cream, cran­berry sauce, cus­tard and moz­zarella cheese.

They’ve called it Pie Hard, ob­vi­ously, in homage to ev­ery­one’s favourite al­ter­na­tive Christ­mas clas­sic, star­ring Bruce Wil­lis as hero cop De­tec­tive John McClane.

It’s avail­able by the slice for £3 or you can buy the whole 16-inch pizza for £16 from the North­ern Quar­ter and Bridge Street bars now.

It’s not even the mad­dest cre­ation Crazy Pe­dro’s has come up with: the pizza par­lour’s pre­vi­ous spe­cials have in­cluded a Greggs-in­spired sausage roll top­ping, a chips, cheese and gravy take­away twist and an Easter edi­tion topped with Cad­bury Creme Eggs.
