Pawn shop ram­raided

Bur­glars ram-raided a pawn shop in the early hours of Sun­day morn­ing.

They drove a car at H&T Pawn­bro­kers, on Fitzger­ald Way, in Sal­ford Precinct.

Po­lice said the gang man­aged to get in­side the build­ing, but it is not known if any­thing was taken. They fled in cars.

No ar­rests have been made and po­lice con­tinue to make en­quiries. De­tec­tives are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses to come for­ward.

A GMP spokes­woman said: “At around 5am on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 8, 2019, po­lice were called to reports of a bur­glary on Fitzger­ald Way, Sal­ford.

“The of­fend­ers drove a car into a store in an at­tempt to gain ac­cess to the build­ing caus­ing dam­age to the premises.”
