Pep already preparing to face Blades
PEP Guardiola says City have no choice but to think about Sheffield United before their game with Wolves.
The Blues are at Molineux on Friday night where they will face what the manager deems one of hardest matches of the season, a fixture they dropped points in last season.
However, the tight turnaround over Christmas means they will already have had to start preparing for the home game against Sheffield United on December 29.
Having been encouraged by the performance at home to Leicester at the weekend when the team came from behind to beat the Foxes and close the gap at the top of the table, the manager is hoping his team can keep that level for the next two tough fixtures.
“What i know is that less than 48 hours is not the perfect time. Christmas time is what it is in this country and we adapt no problem,” said Guardiola.
“it’s the best way, to think about the next game so you are not distracted. We’ll see. i didn’t think which players are going to play but, of course, you have to think about Sheffield United, because we have less than 48 hours.
“Wolves are always one of the toughest opponents. Nuno is doing an incredible job. We drew there last year. it’s one of the toughest aways because of the quality they have.
“They are incredibly organised and have pace up front. Hopefully we’ll maintain our levels of the last few weeks.”
