WE might not have had a white Christmas, but there’s plenty of snow on screen here, along with a host of ridiculously cute furry creatures.
Presenter Liz Bonnin is in charge of introducing us to these charismatic cuties, and helping to explain what it is that they do to survive, and even thrive, in the most inhospitable and extreme winter conditions. Like the Siberian chipmunks, who start their preparations back in autumn, collecting food in their ever-expanding cheeks to stockpile in their burrows during the frost.
We also learn how Arctic foxes are masters of disguise, while American bobcats have developed super hearing to help them hunt prey in deep snow.
