Cops arrest four teenagers in dawn raids
FOUR teenagers have been arrested following a series of dawn raids.
Warrants were executed at five properties in Hyde and Denton yesterday.
A car and machete were also seized.
The raids come following a series of burglaries, attempted burglaries and thefts from cars in both Tameside and Stockport.
More than 40 officers were involved Operation Warsaw, which also aims to stamp out anti-social behaviour.
An 18-year-old man, along with two boys aged 17, were handcuffed at a house in Denton before being taken away in police van.
A third boy, also aged 17, was arrested following a search of a property in Hyde.
All four remain in custody and are being quizzed on suspicion of burglary and theft from motor vehicles offences.
Sgt Stephanie O’Brien, of GMP’s Tameside district, said: “I hope today’s action shows that we listen to our local residents and act on the things that matter to them.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact GMP on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
