Gang of kids at­tack man at petrol sta­tion

A MAN was in­jured af­ter a large group of youths at­tacked him out­side a petrol sta­tion.

Po­lice were called to Seed­ley Road in Sal­ford at around 5.25pm.

Of­fi­cers say a man in his 20s was at­tacked by ‘large’ group of youths.

They were said to be dressed in ‘dark cloth­ing.’

It is not yet known whether the man was se­ri­ously hurt, but Greater Manch­ester Po­lice say he was con­scious at the scene.

Eye­wit­nesses re­ported a ‘huge po­lice pres­ence’ out­side the BP petrol sta­tion on Seed­ley Road on Mon­day evening.

There were ‘at least six ve­hi­cles’ out­side the sta­tion, an eye­wit­ness said.

A GMP spokesman said: “A man in his 20s has been at­tacked by a large group of youths out­side a petrol sta­tion at around 5.25pm.

“It is dif­fi­cult to as­cer­tain the se­ri­ous­ness of his in­juries at this stage, though he was con­scious at the scene.

“There are no reports of any weapons be­ing used.

“Some peo­ple nearby say they saw five males in dark cloth­ing.”
