IT’S a nervous start to the New Year for Harriet, when she learns that the new Bishop is coming to visit. She can’t help but fear the worst, anticipating that it could spell trouble for both the church and for her place in the village. Meanwhile, Moira is confident about her plan – well, we suppose it’s a good thing that somebody is. And after all his recent romantic encounters with Leyla, Liam knows he has a big decision to make.

THAT big secret which had been brewing for months has certainly caused some damage – Mel’s death, Lisa’s breakdown, Louise’s break-up, Sharon losing everything, and Keanu disappearing for good. But now everyone and their dog knows Phil isn’t the father of Sharon’s baby, it’s been replaced by an even bigger secret. Only a handful of people know the real facts about what has happened since the big reveal. And if the truth about this one ever came out it’d be catastrophic.

IT’S time for Josh’s trial to start, which is churning up a load of painful memories for David. As if things weren’t hard enough for him already, with Shona in hospital following the Christmas Day shooting. As David takes the stand he’s grilled by the defence, who claim that – despite all his protestations – the sex between them was consensual. When David spots Nick taking a phone call from the hospital, he insists on them leaving court to get to Shona sharpish.
