Viewers hit out at TV vegan activist

VIEWERS reacted to the appearance of a vegan activist on ITV’s This Morning programme.

‘Veganuary’ – the avoidance of animal products for the whole of January – became a topic of debate as hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes posed the question ‘Is Veganuary damaging the struggling meat industry?’

But This Morning viewers were unimpressed by vegan activist Joey Armstrong, slamming him as “embarrassing to watch.”

After he snapped at the TV hosts, and described how he had heard “pigs scream for their lives” at a Manchester slaughterhouse, one viewer tweeted: “As a vegan myself the #Veganuary representative needs better communication skills and learn how to debate.”
