Wolves boss is left sur­prised by Jimenez links

WOLVES man­ager Nuno Espir­ito Santo has played down the sug­ges­tion Raul Jimenez could join United in the Jan­uary trans­fer win­dow.

The Reds are keen to add an ex­tra at­tack­ing op­tion in the trans­fer win­dow and the lat­est re­ports have claimed Mex­ico in­ter­na­tional

Jimenez could be a tar­get. The 28-year-old im­pressed for Wolves on Satur­day night as he came on as a half-time sub­sti­tute dur­ing their goal­less draw with United in the FA Cup.

Although the Wolves man­ager ad­mits any­thing can hap­pen in the trans­fer win­dow, he in­sists he had not even heard of the ru­mour be­fore he was asked about it.

“First time I heard it,” Nuno said at his post-match press con­fer­ence.

“Ole didn’t men­tion any­thing about that. The trans­fer win­dow is open. When it is open any­thing can hap­pen. We are de­lighted to have Raul.”
