Wolves boss is left surprised by Jimenez links
WOLVES manager Nuno Espirito Santo has played down the suggestion Raul Jimenez could join United in the January transfer window.
The Reds are keen to add an extra attacking option in the transfer window and the latest reports have claimed Mexico international
Jimenez could be a target. The 28-year-old impressed for Wolves on Saturday night as he came on as a half-time substitute during their goalless draw with United in the FA Cup.
Although the Wolves manager admits anything can happen in the transfer window, he insists he had not even heard of the rumour before he was asked about it.
“First time I heard it,” Nuno said at his post-match press conference.
“Ole didn’t mention anything about that. The transfer window is open. When it is open anything can happen. We are delighted to have Raul.”
