House price de­crease

HOUSE prices in­creased more than five times as fast in the 1980s as they have done over the past decade, anal­y­sis has found.

Across the UK, prop­erty val­ues in­creased by a third (33%) across the whole of the 2010s, Na­tion­wide Build­ing So­ci­ety said.

The So­ci­ety’s lat­est house price in­dex re­leased last week showed the av­er­age prop­erty value in De­cem­ber stood at £215,282.
