Rev­o­lu­tion en­joys ‘record sales’ over fes­tive pe­riod

THE group be­hind bar brands Rev­o­lu­tion and Revolu­cion de Cuba achieved ‘record sales’ over the Christ­mas pe­riod.

Ash­ton-un­der-Lyne-head­quar­tered Rev­o­lu­tion Bars Group, which op­er­ates 74 bars, saw like-for-like sales in the four weeks to De­cem­ber 31 in­crease four per cent com­pared to the same pe­riod the pre­vi­ous year, with weekly sales of in­di­vid­ual venues av­er­ag­ing £65,000. The group also saw to­tal rev­enue for the first half to De­cem­ber 28 rise 3.4pc to £81.2m, up from £78.5m for the same pe­riod in 2019.

Like-for-like sales for the first half rose 1.2pc.

Chief ex­ec­u­tive Rob Pitcher said: “I am de­lighted with our Christ­mas trad­ing and the steady im­prove­ment in our like-for-like sales per­for­mance.”
