Gunman fires on car and home
DETECTIVES are investigating after a gunman opened fire on a house and a car in Leigh.
Multiple shots were fired at the home in Henry Street on Wednesday evening.
No one was inside the semi-detached property at the time.
Windows upstairs and downstairs were peppered with bullets, while a white Vauxhall parked outside the home was also shot at and set on fire.
Firefighters were called to tackle the blaze at about 7.45pm. After discovering bullet holes in the vehicle, they alerted police.
Officers say no one has been injured and no arrests have been made.
The residential street, which is about half a mile from Leigh town centre, remained taped off as police launched an investigation.
