Road shut as vehicle hits wall

A ROAD was shut off after a car smashed into a wall.

Police were called to Middleton Road in Chadderton, at the junction with Peel Street, following the smash at 7.30pm last night.

Fire crews and paramedics attended the scene.

Pictures showed two cars damaged in the street, with police vehicles blocking any access to other motorists.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said the vehicle that crashed into the wall was a Vauxhall Astra. They said: “It was one vehicle RTC, it happened at 7.30pm.

“A car crashed into a wall, there’s no information on arrests. The ambulance have attended.”

They said there’s not believed to be serious injuries.
