Coleen ‘confident in legal process’ after feud rival’s tearful appearance on TV

-

COLEEN Rooney has released a statement after Rebekah Vardy appeared on daytime TV talking about their feud.

Rooney and Vardy fell out in a public Twitter row late last year, when Rooney pointed the finger at her fellow WAG for allegedly selling fake stories about her to newspapers.

Vardy has always strenuously denied the claims and appeared on Loose Women for the first time since the row in October 2019.

The tearful WAG told the panel the public spat had seen her subjected to online abuse, which she says led to her being hospitalised in the late stages of her pregnancy.

In a post on Twitter in response to Vardy’s appearance, agent Rachel Louise Monk posted Coleen’s latest statement.

It said: “Coleen has nothing to add to what she has already said. She remains confident in the legal process and sees no reason to take the numerous opportunities that have been offered to engage in further public debate of this matter.”

The Mirror reports how Vardy, married to Leicester striker Jamie, appeared on the ITV show and said the trolling increased with such intensity following the public row it gave her severe anxiety attacks.

“The trolling was the worst part for me. I have been trolled before and I do get it all the time, but it escalated off the back of this. I think people don’t realise when they are saying stuff like that.

“I ended up with severe anxiety attacks. I ended up in hospital three times. I ended up with kidney stones. I felt like I couldn’t go out with people just looking at me just questioning.. whether.. did she do it? Did she not do it?”

“No one would ever say anything to your face they never do, do they. They aren’t brave enough to say things to your face.”

She added: “It escalated really. It wasn’t great. The trolling was the worst part for me and my family.”
