Hatters hit back to make it four games without loss

STOCKPORT County battled back to earn a 1-1 draw with Barnet in the National League after conceding from a penalty in the 8th minute.

Ashley Palmer levelled the scores at Edgeley Park on the stroke of half-time to extend the Hatters’ unbeaten run to four.

Manager Jim Gannon said: “I think we’ve been really competitiv­e in the last four games. We just have to make sure that what we work on has a real effect.”

Altrincham made it three consecutiv­e wins in the National League North with a 4-1 victory over fellow play-off hopefuls Spennymoor Town.

A brace from Jordan Hulme and strikes from Elliot Durrell and Tom Hannigan ensured the three points for the Robins, who move a point behind Boston United in third.

Ten-man Curzon Ashton held Boston to a 1-1 draw thanks to an 84th minute Andy Halls penalty at the Tameside Stadium.

The visitors took the lead through a penalty of their own after 20 minutes, but the Nash battled back for a fourth draw in their past five games.

A Tunde Owolabi hat-trick helped fire FC United to a 4-0 away win over Mickleover Sports in the Northern Premier League.

Adam Dodd added a fourth for FC, who are now up into second, six points behind leaders South Shields who they travel to next weekend.

Ashton United extended their unbeaten Northern Premier League run to four games after a 2-0 victory over Scarboroug­h Athletic.

Former interim manager Josh Wilson scored either side of half-time for the Robins.
