RASHFORD TALKS UP IMPACT OF £47M FERNANDES

-

BRUNO Fernandes’ excellent work rate is rubbing off on the rest of the United squad and making them a better team, according to Marcus Rashford.

Fernandes finally joined United towards the end of the January transfer window in an initial £47m deal from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, and has made an instant impact at Old Trafford, with his skill, tenacity and leadership in the middle of the park.

Rashford is yet to play alongside Fernandes as he’s been out injured with a back injury since before his arrival, but the striker can still see the impact he’s having in the side.

“He’s a player that’s creative, very forwardthinking. He always wants to create opportunities,” Rashford told Bleacher Report in an Instagram Live Q&A. “He’s got such a positive attitude and the vibe he brings to the team is just positive.”

MARCUS Rashford believes United teenager Mason Greenwood can reach the very top of the game.

Greenwood has followed in Rashford’s footsteps in recent years, graduating from the prestigious United academy to form a key part of the club’s attack under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the past season.

And speaking to Bleacher Football in a live Instagram Q&A, Rashford waxed lyrical about Greenwood’s incredible talent.

“For me, Mason’s got everything to be as good as he wants to be,” said Rashford.

“He’s got all the attributes needed to be a forward at the very top level.

“It’s just about him pushing himself. You don’t have to listen to anything on the outside, you just keep pushing yourself and improving. God knows the height he can get to.”

Rashford was asked to rate Greenwood’s potential out of 10 and added: “10/10. There not much else as a forward you could ask for in terms of natural ability.

“Hopefully he continues to work hard and does what he does best.”

Rashford then joked that Greenwood is so two-footed that he doesn’t know which is his strongest. The 18-year-old has earned a reputation for scoring with both feet in United training and in games.
