Olympic champ in lockdown with boyfriend - and ex-husband
SWIMMING star Rebecca Adlington is in lockdown with her boyfriend – and her ex-husband.
The double Olympic champion, from Stockport, is staying at home during the Covid-19 crisis with partner Andrew Parsons and her four-year-old daughter Summer – and they’re joined by Summer’s dad Harry Needs and their swimmer friend Michael Gunning, 26.
Harry, 28, shared a snap of them together on his Instagram to mark Michael’s birthday.
“Couldn’t wish to be stuck at home with a better bunch of people, so glad my bestie had a birthday to remember #squadgoals #whatdoyoumeme #quaratinedreams #family,” he wrote.
“Aw it’s like three men and a little lady,” commented one follower. “Wonderful,” said another. Speaking out about the lockdown on her Instagram Rebecca, 31, recently told her followers that she’d had ‘good and bad days’, but this testing time has made her realise what’s important.
She wrote: “Day whatever it is of lockdown... we’ve had good and bad days.
“I definitely can’t complain and health is the most important thing right now.
“However, Summer is well and truly over adult company. Coming up with new ideas is a struggle. Balancing work and parenting too!
“I feel so bad for admitting how much I miss my friends and family right now.
“Been a worry for those getting sick and especially those more vulnerable in our lives.
“I know lockdown is the right thing but I’ve had days that have been a struggle.
“This time really has made me realise what’s important, that’s for sure.”
Rebecca and Harry split in 2016 after being married for 18 months, but they have remained close friends.
