What’s new to stream on TV

YESTERDAY may have seen the return of pubs and restaurant­s but if you’re wanting to skip the weekend of madness, staying indoors may be your preferred choice.

But if you’re worried you have already exhausted all your viewing options, think again.

NowTV, Amazon Prime and Netflix still have plenty more to offer this week with plenty of new releases and all time favourites added.

To help you navigate the streaming services a little more easily, here are the new films this week.

NETFLIX

DESPERADOS

After drunkenly sending a cringewort­hy email, hopeless romantic Wes heads to Mexico with her best friends to erase the note before her new love reads it.

HUNTER IN THE BLUE SIDE OF MANCHESTER

This film tells the story of Hanif Thamrin (Adipati Dolken) leaving his hometown and trying to pursue his dream to become a reporter for an English Premier League club.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT

We’re back with Ethan Hunt and his IMF team as they race against time after a mission gone wrong.

FIELD OF DREAMS Starring Kevin Costner, this 80s classic sees an Iowa corn farmer, who is hearing voices, interpret them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields.

FROZEN 2

Let It Go is still fresh in all our minds but following its November 2019 release, the sequel is finally arriving on streaming services.

We rejoin Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven as they leave Arendelle to travel to an ancient, autumn-bound forest of an enchanted land.

They set out to find the origin of Elsa’s powers in order to save their kingdom.

THE GOLDFINCH

The Goldfinch tells the story of a boy in New York who is taken in by a wealthy Upper East Side family after his mother is killed in a bombing at the Metropolit­an Museum of Art.

SPRINTER

Sprinter sees a boy, who is separated from his mother and moves to the US for a better life, set to be Jamaica’s next trackand-field sensation.

AMAZON PRIME

ALI

Ali focuses on ten years in the life of the boxer Muhammad Ali, who is played by Will Smith, from 1964 to 1974.

HITCH

This noughties hit starring Will Smith arrives on Amazon this week.

It sees Smith as Alex ‘Hitch’ Hitchens, a profession­al dating consultant who makes a living teaching men how to woo women.

But he releases that his own advice doesn’t quite work on the gossip columnist with whom he’s smitten.

PANIC ROOM

Jodie Foster stars as a divorced woman who takes refuge with her diabetic daughter in their newlypurch­ased house’s safe room, when three men break-in, searching for a missing fortune.
