A DESPERATE family is asking the public for information after their 32-year-old son went missing.

Christopher Coleby was last seen at 6.15am on July 17 in Corbar Woods Lane in Buxton.

Christopher had been staying with his parents at their home for the last 12 weeks after they became concerned about his welfare. He previously lived in Old Trafford.

He is described as white, of slim build, with a bald head and a beard.

When he was last seen, he was wearing light grey jogging bottoms, a light blue t-shirt, a blue Berghaus jacket and black Scarpa boots.

The family also believe he was carrying a large dark grey or blue rucksack with a rolled up green camping mat attached to the bottom.

Christopher’s mum, Tracey, said: “He lives in Manchester but he has been struggling, so he has been staying with us for the last 12 weeks in Buxton.

“I last saw him on Friday morning at 6.15am for a brief five minutes.

“He had gone out for most of the week camping but had come back during the day in the afternoon twice on Wednesday and Thursday.

“He came in Friday morning and I saw him for about five or 10 minutes before I went to work.

“He said he would be back at the beginning of the week, but his phone is turned off, he has no ID, no bank cards and only had £20 with him.

“We are now on day eight. We were concerned about his mental health for the whole three months and we are concerned about his welfare.

“We just want him to come home safe. He normally lives in Old Trafford, he has a lot of friends in the Manchester area.

“If he has contacted any of them, can they let us know. We have done some missing posters and have been putting them out and about in Manchester.

“The posts have been widely shared on social media. For the last 12 weeks we have been concerned about him - he hasn’t accepted any help and refused to be assessed.”

The Derbyshire Constabulary have since done a social media appeal looking for information about Christopher’s whereabouts. In a Facebook post, Derbyshire Police said: “We’re concerned for the safety of Christopher Coleby who is missing from Buxton.”

If you have seen Christopher, or know of his whereabouts, contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 865 of 21 July. You can also anonymously contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting www. crimestoppers-uk.org.
